Multimedia Company to Provide Digital Content Platform for Patient Interaction Centers and WiPads

Sanford, N.C. – WiSpots, Inc. (www.wispots.com), a provider of wireless media, content delivery and efficiency solutions in medical wait environments, check-in areas and exam rooms, has reached an agreement with eliquidMEDIA International (www.eliquid.com) to be the network technology partner for the company's Patient Interaction Centers (PICs) and WiPad mobile Web pads.

Most people spend a minimum of 30 minutes in a doctor's waiting room before receiving medical services. With the WiPad, which the patient can detach from the PIC and take back to their seat, they can read informative content regarding their visit to the doctor, and connect to the Internet to fill out online forms, sign up for clinical trials, request educational information, check and send e-mail, visit their favorite Web sites, play games and more. All of this is provided free to the patients and can help boost patient satisfaction and retention.

This advertiser/sponsor-supported service will be managed and delivered by eliquidMEDIA's firmCHANNEL™ solution under its agreement with WiSpots. firmCHANNEL is a scalable and customizable digital signage system that provides unprecedented control to the end-user.

"We have an aggressive rollout plan for WiSpots over the next five years," said Kevin Flannery, founder, CEO and president of WiSpots. "eliquidMEDIA has the resources and ability to support every aspect of our media content delivery and management needs all across North America and abroad."

"The partnership with WiSpots is a wonderful opportunity to leverage the firmCHANNEL software platform in an innovative and interactive digital signage application," said James Messina, business development manger of eliquidMEDIA. "We are delighted that WiSpots has selected firmCHANNEL as the software to lead their future business expansion. The WiSpots program offers a truly unique spin on the traditional digital out-of-home model."

WiSpots' PICs are presently in use at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates locations throughout Central North Carolina and will soon be in hundreds of locations. The company was seen by millions of viewers on the premiere episode of ABC's "Shark Tank" television show in 2009, and has been featured on local television news and in local newspapers in the Raleigh market.

On My Honor, I Will

Aug. 29, 2010 - (By: Gary Tomlinson) "Learning from the school of hard knocks can be very informing, but often the tuition is too high! We should learn from other people's experiences." The purpose of this column is to share great business wisdom from the experiences of authors like Jim Collins, Michael Gerber, Gary Harpst, Michael LeBoeuf, Ron Willingham, Randy Pennington and others. Because when you combine great business education with your own business experiences the outcome you'll receive is far greater than the sum of its parts.

The wisdom of Randy Pennington's new book; "On My Honor, I Will; The Journey to Integrity-Driven Leadership" has been chosen to share with you this week. The seed for this book began with five words: "He's a REAL BOY SCOUT." Those words were spoken to Randy Pennington by his client who used them to describe his boss. They were not meant as a compliment. His client's contention that honor and integrity are not consistent with long-term success concerned Randy then and continues to do so today. It was the catalyst that caused him to write this book.

Unfortunately his client's belief is shared by many others today.   More »
